HARGEISA — The presenter of BBC’s renouned World Update, Dan Damon and BBC Africa Editor Mary Harper were this week in a Somaliland capital, Hargeisa, to benefaction World Have Your Say (WHYS) programme during a university of Hargeisa (UoH).

Broadcasted over 200 FM stations opposite a United States, East Africa and a Middle East, a programme focuses on business, record and stories that are creation news. In serve World Update presents in-depth information and research of general issues by vocalization to experts and typical people to hear initial palm accounts.

Dan and Mary were assimilated by their Somali colleagues, BBC Somali match (Hargeisa), Mr. Ahmed Said Egeh and Mr. Abdulrisak Hajji Mohamed Sirad as good as students from UoH.

The programme was broadcasted live from Hargeisa’s FM radio waves on Thursday from 1 PM to 2 PM and drew vast assembly opposite a nation as good as internationally that saw many Somali expatriates have their say. Here in Hargeisa, those who took partial enclosed a CEO of Dahabshiil Company, a largest remittance association in Africa, Mr. Abdulrashid Mohamed Said Duale and 4 students.

Muna Mohamed, a bio-chemistry tyro from UoH, told Mr. Damon that there was a wish for her to find a career in Somaliland in a medical attention once she graduates. Other students also voiced confidence while others indicated they would go abroad to serve their education.

Mr. Damon and a BBC group explored and trafficked around Hargeisa by feet though any armed escorts and after met with President Ahmed Silanyo for an interview. While in downtown, he took cinema and talked to income exchangers mostly stacking piles of income in wheelbarrows. At one indicate he asked: “Are we not disturbed someone will take it?” “Not here, we trust everyone,” a income exchanger replied.
